Nar'ruk

To the north of Sentinel Peak stood a great outpost, a ruined symbol of the Russian colony that had once graced this land before Isabeth and her ilk. Such ruins marked the entrance to the North Beyond, a place where even the great sentinel dared not to tread. Tales say that long-dead colonists, with help from the old communist government, had set up a base where they could research new and better ways to improve the might of their country. But it was not to last, for in their progress they had earned the fury of the wendigan and were swiftly wiped out from the face of the earth.

But perhaps such ruins could provide Isabeth with answers to the questions that had lingered in her mind ever since she put down Tiana. What was Monarkh? Was it possible that this place may have experimented on her kind? And were they connected in some way? She jumped up and drove her axe into the edge of the gaping hole, just near the side of the large tower. She looked back down, it was not easy getting up such a place and the fall could have killed her if she had faltered. But Isabeth was Isabeth, and Isabeth was the strongest demon she knew, much to her husband's disagreement.

She rested her battle-worn pistol on the side as she crawled inside, she rested her strong legs upon the edge. Breathing a sigh of relief she gripped the axe and ripped it from the rusted metal, before she hauled herself to her feet. This place would be dark, but that would not bother her in the slightest. She could have brought her hunting suit on her arduous journey, but she was not hunting monsters, just answers. Her normal clothes would suffice for such a task.

She tightened the wrapped shirt across her bountiful figure, brushed off the snow from her black vest and slowly made her way into the bowels of this cursed place.
